Islandton, South Carolina- Funeral Service commemorating the life of Ms. Mary Ethel Inabinett, 96, of 16332 Sniders Highway, was held Friday, January 7, 2011, 2:00 P.M. at Deep Creek Baptist Church, Islandton, South Carolina. Interment followed in Peniel Cemetery of Islandton. Pastor Mark Monroe was the official in charge.
Visitation of friends was held on Thursday evening, January 6, 2011 from 6-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Washington’s Funeral Home was entrusted with funeral arrangements.
Ms. Mary Ethel Inabinett, daughter of the late Mr. William and Mrs. Valeria Crosby, was born September 25, 1914 in Colleton County, South Carolina. On Saturday afternoon, January 1, 2011, she entered into eternal rest at Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, South Carolina.
She attended the public schools in Colleton County, South Carolina and later graduated from the former Ruffin High School of Ruffin, South Carolina. She was a member of Glad Tiding Chapter No. 48 Order of Eastern Star, Varnville, South Carolina and a faithful member and missionary worker at Deep Creek Baptist Church, Islandton, South Carolina.
Her favorite pastimes were working in the garden and farming.
She was predeceased by her husband, Mr. Fred Inabinett; four brothers; one sister; two grandchildren; and, one great grandchild.
“Ethel” as she was affectionately called, leaves to cherish her memories: (4) Daughters: Ms. Catherine Lawton of Walterboro, South Carolina, Ms. Jessie Buckner of Islandton, South Carolina, Ms. Lessie Capers of Jacksonville, Florida and Mrs. Ethel Jeter (Mr. Wiliam) of Chatham, Virginia; (2) Sons: Mr. Fred Inabinett and Mr. Wilbert Inabinett (Mrs. Delores), all of Islandton, South Carolina; (2) Brothers: Mr. Richard Crosby of Walterboro, South Carolina and Mr. Rollie Crosby of Indianapolis, Indiana; (1) Sister, Ms. Shellie Mae Wilson of Walterboro, South Carolina; A granddaughter who was very special and devoted to her, Ms. Deloris “Lois” Rhodes; (20) Grandchildren; (30) Great Grandchildren; (13) Great Great Grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and caring friends.
