Mr. Terrance Leonard Broughton
Ruffin, South Carolina-Funeral service for Mr. Terrance Leonard Broughton, 44, of 14482 Lowcountry Highway was held Friday, June 24, 2011, 11:00 A.M. at Praise Tabernacle Church of Deliverance, Ruffin, South Carolina.  Interment followed in Broughton Cemetery of Ruffin.  Bishop Howard Broughton was the eulogist.

God looked down upon his earth and saw your tired face.  He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest.  God’s garden must be beautiful.  Because He only takes the best.

Brother Terrance L. Broughton, the son of Mr. Joseph A. & Mrs. Berthell Broughton, was born May 17, 1967, in Colleton County, South Carolina.  On June 18, 2011, Terrance exchanged this world for a better home.

Terrance grew up in the Ruffin Community where he attended the public schools.  He was a 1985 graduate of Ruffin High School, Ruffin, South Carolina.  He was previously employed by New York Wire, formerly CCX  of Walterboro, South Carolina.  Most recently, he was diligent in caring for his father.  At an early age, Terrance joined Praise Tabernacle Deliverance Church where he served in many capacities.

Terrance’s hobbies included watching football and participating as a member of the Red Root Hunting Club.

He was married to Mrs. Claretha “Elaine” Broughton of Varnville, South Carolina.

To cherish his memories are his wife, Mrs. Claretha Broughton of Varnville, South Carolina; His parents, Mr. Joseph A. & Mrs. Berthell Broughton of Ruffin, South Carolina; (2) Brothers: Mr. Casey Broughton and Mr. Christopher Broughton, both of Ruffin, South Carolina; (2) Sisters: Mrs. Linda Linnen (Monroe) of Smoaks, South Carolina and Ms. Marie Broughton of Columbia, South Carolina;  (10) Aunts: Ms. Rosa Lee Risher (the late Alexander), Mrs. Yvonne Broughton (Horace Lee), Ms. Rosa Lee Little (the late Robert),  Co-Pastor Lula Broughton (Bishop Howard), Ms. Mabel Broughton (the late Herman), Evangelist Mildred Yates (Minister Paul), Evangelist Gertrude Jamison (Lewis), Evangelist Gladys Fryar (the late Eddie), Ms. Emma Steward (the late John) and Ms. Francis Jenkins (the late Harvey); (5) Uncles: Mr. Horace Broughton, Bishop Howard Broughton (Lula), Minister Paul Yates, Mr. Johnny Lee Folger and Mr. Willie Drain; (3) Nephews: Jeffery Linnen, Tony Linnen , both of Summerville, South Carolina and Deontae Washington of Columbia, South Carolina;  Other relatives and caring friends.
