Sierra Vista, Arizona -The Celebration of Life for Mother Loretta Williams Miller, 54, formerly of Varnville, South Carolina will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011, 12:00 Noon, at Harmonia Missionary Baptist Church, Varnville, South Carolina. Interment will be in Harmonia Cemetery. Pastor Toyier Foster, Sr. and Pastor Dr. Betty Sanders will be officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, November 25, 2011 from 6-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Washington's Funeral Home of Hampton is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Mother Loretta Williams Miller, 54, received the summon of her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at her residence in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She was born on August 10, 1957 in Varnville, Hampton County, South Carolina to Mr. William Terry, Jr. and the late Mrs. Lillie Jane Stephens.
At an early age, Mother Loretta Williams Miller confessed Christ as Savior and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Varnville, South Carolina. She subsequently became a member of the Monument of Faith Christian Church of Varnville, South Carolina. Upon relocation to Sierra Vista, Arizona, Mother Miller continued her fellowship with The Radical Church of Sierra Vista, Arizona (formerly Monument of Faith Christian Church of Varnville).
She was educated in the public schools of Hampton County, South Carolina, a 1975 graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Varnville, South Carolina.
“Loretta”, as she was affectionately called, was particularly proud of and loved her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are: her mother, Mrs. Lillie Jane Stephens; her grandmother who reared her as a daughter, Mrs. Eva Mae Williams; her grandfather, Mr. Henry Williams, Sr.; her brothers: Mr. Lee Earl Williams and Infant Tony Morrell Stephens; and, an uncle, Mr. Henry Williams, Jr.
To cherish memories are: Her husband, Mr. Joe Nathan Miller, Jr. of Varnville, South Carolina; (4) Loving sons: Adjutant Kelvin Miller (Adjutant Michelle) and Mr. Juan Miller (Mrs. Syrina), all of Hampton, South Carolina, Mr. Darius Miller of Varnville, South Carolina and Mr. Brandon Miller of Sierra Vista, Arizona; (10) Grandchildren; Her father, Mr. William Terry, Jr. (Mrs. Ester) of Early Branch, South Carolina; Her step father, Mr. Willie H. Stephens of Islandton, South Carolina; (3) Brothers: Mr. William Donald Terry and Mr. Alexander Terry, both of Syracuse, New York and Mr. Derrick Williams of Augusta, Georgia; (3) Sisters: Ms. Tonia Colvin of Wilmington, North Carolina, Ms. Mildred Terry and Ms. Pamela Michelle Terry, both of Syracuse, New York; (8) Aunts; (7) Uncles; Her father-in-law, Mr. Joe Nathan Miller, Sr. of Varnville, South Carolina; Her mother-in-law, Mrs. Virlee Miller of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; (3) Sisters-in-law: (1) Brother-in-law; (1) Great uncle; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends (which includes two special friends: Sister Alyce Maxey and Sister Jackie Kennedy and the entire church family of Sierra Vista, Arizona).
