Marvin Harrison departed this life on Monday, September 2, 2019 at the Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, South Carolina. Born on January 24, 1956 in Varnville, South Carolina, he was a son of Mrs. Sarah Frances Harrison and the late Mr. Henry Harrison, Jr.
Marvin attended the public schools in Hampton County, South Carolina, graduating from Wade Hampton High School, Class of 1974, Varnville, South Carolina. Upon graduation, in 1975, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country for twelve (12) years.
He was preceded in death in addition to his father by his brother, Reverend Troy F. Harrison.
Loving memories will be cherished by two sons: ZaQuinton Harrison of Varnville, South Carolina and Kedrick Harrison of Dublin, Ireland; Lillie Harrison (his love) of McRae, Georgia; His mother, Sarah F. Harrison of Varnville, South Carolina; One brother, Matthew Harrison of College Park, Maryland; Two sisters: Reverend Sarah LaTrell Harrison of Clermont, Florida and Minister Owillinda (Minister Leo) Brooker of Aiken, South Carolina; Five Aunts: Hattie Mae (Wallace) Owens of Allendale, South Carolina, Mazie Lee Terry of Youngstown, Ohio, Delphine W. Johnson and Thelma Lee, both of Varnville, South Carolina and Verdell Williams of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; One sister-in-law, Bernice Harrison of Greenville, South Carolina; A special cousin, Danielle Campbell of Varnville, South Carolina; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sympathizing friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Lung Association in Marvin's memory.
